Invested max limit in an IPO :)

I have been investing into the Stock Market for around more than 7yrs and mostly into IPO`s and in BFSI sector. I had some buffer cash from sometime and was looking for investment into a company with strong financials that could reap good benefits from the Stock Market which usually gives around 12-14% appreciation per annum. I usually invested around Rs. 50K – 60K in an IPO previously. I have good holding till now and still feeling strong about my investment strategies I as believe that investing at the right time will reap benefits and will help beat inflation.

Last month I had applied for ICICI Securities IPO issue which was priced at Rs. 520 a share and in the lot size of 28 shares and multiple lots thereafter. The maximum investment limit in an IPO for a retail investor is Rs. 2,00,000/- only. With the maximum investment value and looking into the lot size and lot multiples it came upto 13 multiples max of 28 shares each.

On 23rd March 2018, I had put a bid for the IPO for the maximum lot applicable 13 lots of 28 shares each making it 364 shares in total transaction of value Rs. 1,89,280 at Rs. 520/security. I was eagerly waiting for allotment news and on 31st March I got email that I had got full allotment and I would be getting 364 shares in total for what I had applied. Today I`m happy to announce that I have got all the allotted 364 shares which I applied for into my DEMAT account and now looking forward to listing on 05.04.2018. 🙂
