Jaipur after 8yrs for Hanuman Jayanti :)

Our family is always there in Jaipur during Hanuman Jayanti. Last time I was there during 2008 when my brother was going to US for the first time for higher studies. We all were there in the temple where we went to seek blessings from our ancestral God, Lord Hanuman, whom we follow as our family God. After almost 8yrs our family was planning to do the ‘Bhog’ or serve food. I was in Pune and was excited to go to Jaipur as I was going there after almost 8yrs. I planned my flight from Pune late night 2330hrs on wednesday and reached thursday early morning at 0245am at Jaipur airport.

My parents had started from Surat from bus towards Mumbai as there were no direct flight from Surat to Jaipur. I had already reached Jaipur in the morning where my parents were still travelling in bus and were enroute to Mumbai Airport, I told them I would wait till you arrive. Then my parents arrived at Mumbai Airport and I was having nice filter coffee inside the airport. I had another filter coffee after the first one as I had to stay awake all night also I liked the coffee very much, it was a very good coffee I had long time.

My parents arrived at around 0730hrs and the airport security also looking at me curiously as I was the only person in the airport from night and was eargerly waiting for the passengers that had arrived in the Mumbai flight. I united with my parents and then we proceded towards going to our temple where our extended family was already waiting for us. We arrived a the temple around afternoon and then we had ‘Jagran’ (staying up all night) the same upcoming night and the next morning had to be celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti. We had lots of music and dancing during the night time where we had to stay up all night to celebrate the birthday of our God who had been born on that date.

Most of us had already slept during 3-4am as I was not aware at what time I went off to sleep while listening to music and watching the dance that people had put up on the religious day. Early in the morning after freshening up I went for a walk for about 1-2 kms to see the roads of the nearby village and then came back when my Mother called me when is was time for the festivities. We served food to everyone that had come from various neaby villages and interacted with other extended family members. It was a great time after long long years when I had met many of my extended family members at the same place. It was a great day that we all enjoyed. 🙂
